SoundBite
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Sammer Sheikh ("we", "us", or "our") governing your use of the SoundBite mobile application and related services (collectively, the "App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
This agreement is in addition to, and incorporates, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA), which applies as the baseline license for the App. Where these Terms and Apple's Standard EULA conflict, the more protective term for the user controls for the matter at issue.
SoundBite turns web articles and text you submit into short, AI-generated audio summaries narrated by a synthetic voice, and assembles daily and custom news briefs from sources discovered on the web. You are responsible for the links and text you submit and for ensuring you have the right to submit them.
You create an account using an email address and password, or with Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use the App.
Summaries and briefs are produced by automated AI systems and synthetic narration. They may contain errors, omissions, or misstatements and are provided for convenience only. They are not a substitute for reading the original source, and they are not professional advice. Verify anything important against the original article.
SoundBite Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold through Apple In-App Purchase. The subscription names, durations, and prices are:

Auto-renewing subscription terms (Apple):
Purchases, billing, refunds, and cancellations are handled by Apple under your Apple Media Services agreement. We do not process or store your payment details.
Without a subscription, the App provides a limited number of article submissions and briefs over a rolling period, a default narrator voice, and standard features. Pro removes those limits and unlocks additional voices and on-demand briefs. Limits may change over time.
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. disclaimers, limitation of liability) will survive.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sammer Sheikh will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or profits, arising out of your use of the App.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
